OUR WEDDING

Content - Bigly and Gigly ;-)

The moment seemed to be almost there, still, it required a few more tough minutes of hanging on – hanging on to that something which had till now been nothing but invisible. They were going through a whole spectrum of emotions – from happiness and relief to fear and prudence. This was the moment they had been struggling to live in for the past many days and nothing - nothing in this world was going to curb them from the happiness of these few seconds that would intertwine their two pasts into one future.

They looked into each other at every possible opportunity, their silence speaking volumes in the midst of all the noise and commotion. They could read each other's thoughts merely by those few seconds of glance and by each other's touch. Finally, The Moment closed in upon them - like a cyclone swirling around a small lamp as its epicenter. His hands shivered as he brought the yellow thread around her neck to tie the knots – the three knots that would forever be proof to the world that they were no longer two, but one. As a beautiful smile spread across her lips, a small tear hung on her eyes, like dew on a fresh morning leaf ready to drop down on the earth.

Flowers and grains of rice poured upon them wishing them a life filled with the realization of every dream that they hoped to unleash together. The whole hall thundered with the traditional melody that usually accompanied the climax of a wedding, but inside their mind echoed the silent music of unity – the unity of two souls in love and a solemn promise within their hearts to be together for eternity. He badly wished he could simply hug and kiss her that very moment, but the traditions of his culture forbade him to follow his heart. Instead, he looked into her charming eyes and smiled at her. She reciprocated with a cute shy smile.

Together, they finally heaved a long awaited sigh of relief.

Congratulations again. In all that love filled moments, I wonder if you remember me?! :) I was ( and still am) one of Sat's blogger fans. Incidentally, I was vacationing in India at the time of your wedding.
It was uber nice being with there.

Warm wishes for a wonderful life together!
